NPO Japan Education and Resource Network (
JEARN,
http://www.jearn.jp/english/ ) is the iEARN-Japan Center, which
is affiliated with iEARN (International Education and Resource
Network, http://www.iearn.org/
), the largest, non-profit, global educational network of over one
million elementary and high school students engaged in collaborative
learning projects that make a difference in the world.
JEARN announces the second gathering "JEARN
International Education Meeting 2007" which will be held in Tokyo
Japan. We are inviting iEARN country-coordinators, representatives,
and contact persons from over ten countries/areas, especially from Asia
and Pacific rim. They will meet about 100 Japanese teachers at the
conference.
At the JEARN
International Education Meeting 2007, we will share our
diversity and develop a common vision of the direction that iEARN
community should take, and build good relationships among teachers.
When teachers understand each other and build mutual trust, they can
promote collaborative learning to their students better, and build
friendship stronger enough to face any troubles while working
virtually on projects together online.
There will be an opportunity to gain
knowledge and practical skills useful when teachers participate in
iEARN projects collaborating and interacting with each other, to
include project discussions on special themes and how to make
video-conference via the Internet.
The first night meeting for iEARN delegates
is the time for sharing and discussion on promoting iEARN, office
running, and other issues which each delegate faces when they run
iEARN.
